Ribb-Eats, currently in Alpha, is an ongoing project of Wynning Studios.
The game is a co-op multiplayer game set in a small city, where the players need to work together to deliver food orders for a company called Ribb-Eats. Unfortunately, they are frogs in a human sized car they found in the dump. With a car constantly breaking in many ways, and flies desperate to steal the food bag, each frog needs to hop and use their tongues to get as much money as they can to afford their rent.
Created for our final year Capstone project, we branched out and decided to try 3D modelling for our game. It was a lot of fun to work with Maya and create fun models for the map. This game taught me a lot about modelling, and the quality of my work improved over the duration of the game creation progress.
We had an issue with the colours of the Maya materials being transferred strangely into Unity, as there was minimal time to create substance painter materials, for our Alpha version, the colours chosen in Maya were deliberately oversaturated for more complex models. As the game moves towards Beta, we are fully reimagining the design of our game and redoing all models. All models now have proper UV maps and will be put through substance painter.
I am one of the Map level designers as well as Lead 3D Artist. My 3D work includes environmental levels and objects, Upgrades and power up items, NPC creation (WIP), UV Map creation (using UDims), and Textures.
